Official four-party talks between the United States and Iran, with the participation of Qatar and Pakistan, are scheduled to take place in Burgenstock after lunch today, followed by bilateral consultations between Washington and Tehran.

Axar.az reports that the formal four-party meeting with mediators will begin at 13:30 (15:30 Baku time), while bilateral US–Iran consultations are expected to start in the evening.

It was also reported that all delegations participating in the talks have already arrived in Burgenstock, where the meetings will be held.

Four-party talks in Switzerland on the U.S.-Iran memorandum were suspended after 80 minutes of discussions for internal consultations.

According to the Fars News Agency, the pause was made to allow the delegations to hold consultations within their respective teams.

The Iranian negotiating delegation left the venue of talks with the United States in protest over U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats against Tehran.

According to Axios correspondent Barak Ravid, Iranian officials told state media that the delegation departed the negotiation site in response to Trump’s remarks.

"Iranian delegation has lodged a protest with the US side and is now weighing options for an appropriate response to Donald Trump’s recent verbal threats," Press TV stated on X.

Trump earlier warned Iranian officials over the Strait of Hormuz, saying the US could “take over” the strategic waterway if Washington fails to reach a deal with Tehran.

“You close it (the Strait of Hormuz) and you won’t have a country,” Trump said he told Iranian officials. “You won’t even make it back to your f**king country."

Iran said discussions with the United States in Switzerland included the release of frozen Iranian assets and possible sanctions relief for the country’s oil sector.

Hussein Gurbanzadeh, a member of Iran’s negotiating team, said the talks addressed “the issue of our frozen assets and the arrangements for their release.”

“In Switzerland, we discussed the temporary exemption from sanctions on oil and its derivatives, and the final draft of a proposal on this matter has been completed,” Gurbanzadeh said.
