Contact lost with Robinson R44 helicopter in Russia

In Russia’s Primorsky Krai, a Robinson R44 helicopter carrying out aerial forestry operations has gone missing.

Axar.az informs, citing Russian media, according to the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office, contact with the aircraft crew was lost at around 12:00 local time. Preliminary reports say the helicopter was flying from the settlement of Terney to the village of Edinka.

The crew failed to make contact at the scheduled time, and the helicopter’s location has not yet been determined.

Authorities said that a search and rescue operation is currently underway.
