60 evacuated after Moscow building fire spreads

A major fire has broken out in a non-residential building on Rechnikov Street in southern Moscow.

Axar.az, citing Russian media, the fire initially covered an area of 50 square meters before spreading to approximately 300 square meters. Part of the building’s roof collapsed as a result of the blaze.

The building, which houses a beauty salon and shops, was evacuated, with around 60 people removed from the premises.

Witnesses reported heavy smoke in the area. No injuries have been reported so far.

Firefighters and emergency services are continuing efforts to extinguish the fire, while Moscow authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
