Iraninan President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday and was welcomed by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon his arrival in the Pakistani capital.

Axar.az informs, citing Mehr, speaking before departing for Islamabad on Tuesday morning, Pezeshkian said the visit comes at the invitation of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and follows extensive efforts by Pakistani officials to coordinate and finalize the MoU between Tehran and Washington.

The president is scheduled to hold separate meetings with Pakistani authorities during the visit, during which he will exchange views on the most pressing issues of mutual interest to the two countries.
