Cargo ship hit by missile in Gulf of Oman

A cargo vessel was struck by an unknown projectile off the coast of Oman on Thursday.

Axar.az reports, citing the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), that the incident occurred 7.5 nautical miles southeast of Dahit, Oman.

The projectile hit the vessel’s starboard side, causing damage to the bridge. The ship’s master reported no casualties and no environmental impact.

Authorities are monitoring the situation and investigating the incident.
