Moldovan Ambassador to Russia Lilian Darii was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Axar.az reports that the ministry stated that Chisinau had committed a serious violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations following the detention of Russian diplomatic couriers at Chisinau International Airport.

"On June 26, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Russian Federation Darii was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was presented with a strong protest and handed a diplomatic note in connection with the Moldovan side's gross violation of the fundamental provisions of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the statement reads.
