Fistfight breaks out in Georgian parliament - Video

A physical confrontation broke out during the final plenary session of the Georgian parliament's spring sitting.

Axar.az reports, citing Georgian media, that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze presented his annual report to lawmakers during the session.

The altercation began after opposition lawmaker Giorgi Sharashidze addressed Kobakhidze and ruling Georgian Dream party deputies from the parliamentary podium. Following a verbal clash, lawmakers moved to a physical confrontation, with members of the Gakharia for Georgia faction and Georgian Dream deputies involved.

Footage from the scene showed several lawmakers exchanging blows, while other deputies attempted to separate the sides.
