14 killed in Saudi Aramco helicopter crash at Ras Tanura

A Saudi Aramco helicopter crashed near the company's facilities in Ras Tanura on Sunday, killing all 14 people on board.

Axar.az reports, citing the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), that the helicopter went down at around 6 a.m. local time.

All those killed were Saudi nationals.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Officials also extended condolences to the families of the victims.

The accident comes two days after Saudi Aramco resumed crude oil loading operations at the Ras Tanura terminal following a nearly four-month suspension linked to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
