A passenger bus traveling from Istanbul to Iraq overturned on the Ankara-Nigde highway in Turkiye’s Aksaray province, injuring 40 people.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the accident occurred near Babakonagi after the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road.

Two drivers, one assistant, and 37 passengers, including children, were injured and taken to hospitals in Aksaray.

“We were going from Istanbul to Iraq. Suddenly, I found ourselves in the ditch,” the injured driver said.
