US pauses strikes on Iran to let diplomacy work

Diplomacy is happening behind the scenes to ease tensions with Iran, a US official told CNN, after exchanges of fire in the past several days derailed the ceasefire between Tehran and Washington.

Axar.az reports Pakistan and Qatar are also working to bring the two countries back to the negotiating table, regional sources told CNN.

Multiple officials reportedly said there were preparations for potential US strikes if needed tonight, but they are currently letting diplomacy take the lead.
