One killed in Samara drone attack - Video

One person was killed and three others, including a child, were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Samara region, regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said on his Telegram channel.

Axar.az reports according to the governor, the Ukrainian drone attacks also damaged apartment buildings, private homes, and an industrial facility in the region.

Ukraine later said that it had targeted an oil refinery in the region as part of its campaign against Russia’s energy infrastructure.

Russian media reported that the intended target was the Syzran Oil Refinery, operated by state-owned energy company Rosneft. Images circulated by local outlets appeared to show thick black smoke billowing from the refinery, located around 800 kilometres from the Ukrainian border.
