Verkhovna Rada dismisses Svyrydenko and her government

Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada approved the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrinform, that 258 members of parliament voted in favor of the resignation.

During her speech, Svyrydenko thanked the deputies and government agencies for their collaboration over the past year, the President for his trust, the Ukrainian people for their faith and tireless work, and the military for defending the country.

“In a situation where the enemy is trying so hard to destroy life everywhere—from small villages to major cities—ensuring a dignified life for Ukrainians is no easy task. But I believe that together with you, we have persevered and done everything possible—and often the impossible—for the energy sector, education, transportation, healthcare, and providing housing for internally displaced persons… It has been an honor for our government team to work alongside you for the good of Ukraine,” she noted.
