Magnitude 5.3 earthquake hits Novosibirsk region

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck near the town of Karasuk in Russia's Novosibirsk region.

Axar.az reports that the information was released by the Russian Academy of Sciences' Unified Geophysical Service.

According to the Novosibirsk regional department of Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the earthquake.
