Iran suspends obligations under US memorandum

Iranian authorities have suspended the implementation of their obligations under the memorandum on resolving the conflict with the United States, which was signed on June 18, 2026.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that the announcement was made by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.

"We have also suspended the implementation of our obligations. At the moment, we are not fulfilling them and are focused on defending the country," Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.

It should be noted that the latest escalation in US-Iran relations began on July 8.
