With hours left until the Sunday World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, several Israeli politicians expressed support for the Albiceleste, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu among the most prominent figures sharing messages in support of Argentina.

Axar.az reports, citing the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu was gifted an official shirt from the Argentine national team by the Argentine Ambassador to Israel, Axel Wahnish, in a video the diplomat shared on Saturday on X.

"Israel is with Argentina," read the post shared by Wahnish, while he also showed Netanyahu a message by Argentine President Javier Milei.

"Thank you for your generosity, because you are also a friend of mine. And I'm really happy to learn that you are supporting Argentina because of our friendship," said Milei in the message.

"Javier, you are a real friend, a great friend. We support you, we support Argentina, in so many ways, including tomorrow," said Netanyahu, and ended the message wishing good luck in the World Cup final.

"I don't hide that I support Argentina, and I think most Israelis support Argentina because of Milei's revolution in the relationship between our countries," Netanyahu told Wahnish, and ended by chanting: "Vamos Argentina."
