Macron, Pashinyan discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Axar.az reports that according to the Armenian Prime Minister's Office, President Macron once again congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and wished him success in his future work.

The two leaders discussed the agenda of the Armenia–France strategic partnership and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to steadily developing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.

Pashinyan thanked Macron for France's continued support for Armenia's democratic reform agenda. He also stressed the importance of deepening bilateral trade and economic cooperation and expanding Armenia's export opportunities.

The leaders also discussed the progress of the Armenia–European Union partnership, as well as regional and international issues.

They also reviewed the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process and jointly emphasized the importance of establishing a lasting and stable peace in the South Caucasus.
