Oil tanker hits naval mine in Strait of Hormuz

An oil tanker exploded after striking a naval mine in the Strait of Hormuz after deviating from a route designated by Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Defapress, that the incident occurred about an hour earlier after the tanker left the navigation route specified by the Iranian authorities.

The source said the vessel hit a naval mine, triggering an explosion.
