Trump, Netanyahu hold 'very positive' White House meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held what both U.S. and Israeli officials described as a "very positive" meeting at the White House on Tuesday.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the talks were constructive.

"President Trump has concluded his meetings in the Oval Office with President Zelensky and Prime Minister Netanyahu. Both meetings were positive and productive," she wrote on X.

An Israeli official briefed on the meeting said it "was a very positive meeting, conducted in a good spirit together with senior members of the administration."

"The excellent chemistry between the leaders was evident," the official said, adding that Trump and Netanyahu reaffirmed their shared position "that under no circumstances should Iran be allowed to have nuclear weapons."

According to the official, the two leaders also discussed the U.S.-Israel partnership, "which is stronger than ever," as well as opportunities in the Middle East.

The Oval Office meeting was closed to the press.
