About 25,000 migrants who entered the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta irregularly have voluntarily returned to Morocco.
Axar.az reports, citing El Pais, that Spain's Interior Ministry said more than 50,000 people had entered Ceuta illegally since the migration crisis began, with approximately half returning to Morocco on Friday.
It should be noted that the influx of migrants into Ceuta began in the early hours of July 30.
Spanish security forces had anticipated voluntary returns, citing a similar pattern during the 2021 Ceuta migration crisis, when just over 10,000 migrants entered the enclave irregularly.
