U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Israel remains a key U.S. ally, but stressed that Washington and Jerusalem do not always agree on every issue.

Axar.az reports that Vance made the remarks in an interview with Fox News

"Israel has been a great partner. They're an allied of the United States of America. Like France or Britain or any other ally of the United States, we sometimes have differences of opinion," he said.

He added that his job as vice president is to protect the interests of his own country only.

"When our interests are aligned with Israel, we talk about how to accomplish those shared objectives. When my viewpoint is averse to the prime minister of Israel, we have a frank conversation about that," he added.
