The Turkish-flagged dry cargo ship MV Gulluk was struck by a drone off the Russian port of Novorossiysk.

Axar.az reports, citing HaberDenizde, that the drone hit the vessel's living quarters while it was sailing toward Taman, Russia.

No crew members were killed or injured in the attack.

The vessel later continued its voyage toward Istanbul and is expected to undergo a technical inspection, damage assessment and repairs at a shipyard.

Built in 2002, MV Gulluk operates under the Turkish flag in international maritime transport. The incident comes amid growing security concerns for commercial shipping in the Black Sea.
