Russian strike damages Odesa's Chornomorets Stadium

A Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Odesa on Friday damaged Chornomorets Stadium and injured one person.

Axar.az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine, that the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, made the announcement.

"The enemy attacked Odesa. Sports infrastructure has been damaged. According to preliminary information, there are casualties," she said.

Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, later confirmed that Chornomorets Stadium had been hit.

"The roof, glazing, and stadium stands have been damaged. According to preliminary information, unfortunately, one person was injured," Kiper said.

Local media reported that the attack also shattered windows at the stadium and sparked a fire in the surrounding grass.
