Araghchi, Ghalibaf set to visit Pakistan

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf have been invited to visit Pakistan and will travel to Islamabad at an appropriate time.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei made the remarks during a weekly press conference.

“Araghchi and Ghalibaf have received invitations to visit Pakistan, and the trip will take place when the appropriate opportunity arises,” he said.

It should be noted that Pakistan has acted as a mediator between Washington and Tehran in efforts to de-escalate tensions, including helping to broker a ceasefire in April and a framework agreement in June.
