A 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck Colombia.

Axar.az reports, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 110 kilometers, about 36 kilometers west-northwest of Cartago and 13 kilometers north of El Cairo.

The earthquake was felt in Bogota and other cities.

No casualties or damage have been reported.

A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck western Colombia, causing buildings to collapse and leaving people trapped and injured.

The BBC reports that at least 20 buildings collapsed in the city of Cali.

The epicenter was located in San Jose del Palmar in the Choco region, between Cali and Medellín, at a depth of 82 kilometers.

Officials also reported injuries and severe damage to buildings in the cities of Quibdo and Pereira.

According to the report, more than 30 people were killed and others injured in the earthquake.

According to the report, the highest number of fatalities was recorded in Risaralda department, where 40 people were killed. Valle del Cauca recorded 27 deaths, while four people were killed in Choco, where the earthquake’s epicenter was located.
