Sochi imposes fuel restrictions amid supply disruptions

Residents and tourists in Russia’s Sochi have been urged to avoid using private vehicles where possible to reduce pressure on gas stations and help restore normal operations.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the restrictions were introduced by major fuel operators due to logistical disruptions in fuel supplies.

Amid increased demand at some gas stations, gasoline sales to individuals have been restricted. Legal entities, emergency and municipal services can receive fuel without limits using fuel cards.

Public transport and specialized vehicles are fully supplied with fuel, while gas station operators are adjusting deliveries and redistributing fuel supplies among stations.

The restrictions will be reviewed once the fuel supply schedule is restored, the administration said.
