Palestinian President Abbas arrives in Ankara

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Ankara on Tuesday for an official two-day visit to Turkiye.

Axar.az reports, citing TRT Haber, that Abbas was received at the airport by Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat and Palestine’s Ambassador to Ankara Nasri Abu Jaish.

During the visit, Abbas is scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The talks are expected to focus on developments in Palestine and the wider region, as well as bilateral relations between Turkiye and Palestine.

Abbas is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Executive Committee member Ziad Abu Amr, Fatah Central Committee member and intelligence chief Majed Faraj, diplomatic affairs adviser Majdi Khaldi, and religious affairs adviser and Chief Judge Mahmoud al-Habbash.
