Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has commented on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's remarks made during the latter's visit to Nakhchivan.

Axar.az informs, citing Rеport, that the prime minister noted that issues related to electricity transit between Azerbaijan and the European Union, as well as the Black Sea submarine cable project, had been discussed at the expert level.

According to him, the Black Sea submarine cable, as well as the project involving electricity and digital connectivity, has been included in the list of projects of common interest.

"Of course, everyone understands that such connections cannot be created and strengthened without Georgia," Kobakhidze said.

The head of the Georgian government emphasized the importance of further strengthening strategic ties between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkiye.

"In principle, it is very important to further strengthen strategic ties between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkiye, especially our strategic ties in terms of connectivity. We are working for this and will continue to do so," the prime minister said.

Kobakhidze also noted positive dynamics in relations with Azerbaijan and Turkiye.

"There is very good momentum with Azerbaijan, as well as Turkiye, and of course, I will actively work in this direction," he added.
