Ukraine secures 50% rail transit discount from Moldova

Ukraine has reached an agreement with Moldova to introduce a 50% discount on rail transit fees for Ukrainian cargo.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced this on his Telegram account.

“The new regime is effective from August 10 through the end of 2026,” Koretskyi stated.

He said the agreement was “another practical solution for Ukrainian exporters amid Russian terror in the Black Sea.”

Koretskyi also said that, under an agreement between the two countries, the Kyiv–Chisinau train route would be changed from August 17 to make transfers to Chisinau Airport more convenient and significantly faster for Ukrainians.

“Thank you to the Government of Moldova for the decisions made. We are working to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova,” he said.
