No commercial vessel or oil tanker can safely transit the Strait of Hormuz without authorization and monitoring by Iranian armed forces.

Axar.az reports, citing the IRGC Telegram channel, that a spokesperson for Iran’s Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters rejected U.S. claims that vessels were transiting the strategic waterway normally, calling them false.

“The Strait of Hormuz, as before, remains fully managed and controlled by the Islamic Republic of Iran. No commercial ship or oil tanker can or will be able to safely transit the strait without authorization and monitoring by Iran’s powerful armed forces.”

The spokesperson accused the United States of seeking to create insecurity in the region and said Iranian forces were monitoring the activities of U.S. and Israeli forces.

“The United States is continuously seeking to create mischief and insecurity in the region, and its baseless and unsupported threats, in the face of the comprehensive preparations of the heroic fighters of Islam in the armed forces, will result in nothing but greater misery and helplessness for them.”

The spokesperson added that Iran’s armed forces would respond to any threat “more forcefully and severely than before,” while emphasizing Iran’s stated commitment to national sovereignty and its national interests.
