The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) changed a map of the Middle East featured in a post about CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper’s 10-day trip to the region.

Axar.az reports, citing CENTCOM’s post on X and screenshots of the original version saved by users.

In the original version of the map, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank appeared visually incorporated into Israeli territory. In the updated version, the boundaries around Israel and the Palestinian territories are depicted differently.

CENTCOM’s post said Cooper completed a 10-day trip to the Middle East on Aug. 15, visiting Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier operating in the Arabian Sea.

CENTCOM did not mention the map change or provide an explanation for it in the post.
