Trump urges Senate to end twice-yearly clock changes

The US President Donald Trump has urged the Senate to quickly pass legislation ending the twice-yearly changing of clocks and making daylight saving time permanent.

Axar.az reports that Trump made a statement on his Truth Social account.

“The Senate must vote on the NO MORE CHANGING THE CLOCKS ACT as soon as possible. More sun later in the day is better (including for fighting crime!), but, even more importantly, NO MORE RIDICULOUSLY CHANGING CLOCKS AND WATCHES TWICE YEARLY, with all of the disruption and chaos it causes. FINALLY, GET IT DONE!!!” Trump wrote.

The House of Representatives passed legislation aimed at making daylight saving time permanent last month by a 308-117 vote. The measure now awaits consideration by the Senate.
