IDF struck Islamic Jihad and Hamas members in Gaza

The Israeli military said it carried out separate airstrikes against members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Axar.az reports, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), that an Islamic Jihad member was targeted in the Khan Younis area, while a Hamas member was struck in the Nuseirat area.

The IDF said both individuals were involved in advancing attacks and were targeted in “precise aerial strikes” to remove what it described as an immediate threat.

The military said measures were taken before the strikes to reduce the risk to civilians, including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance.

“IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat,” the statement said.
