India’s Defense Secretary arrives in Armenia

India’s Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh has arrived in Armenia on an official visit.

Axar.az reports, citing India’s New Indian Express, that India and Armenia have discussed joint development of military hardware, force modernization and deeper strategic cooperation.

The talks were held during Armenian First Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Edvard Asryan’s visit to India, where he met with Indian Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Anil Chauhan, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh and Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.

According to the report, the two sides explored opportunities for joint ventures in the development of military hardware, potentially moving beyond the traditional buyer-seller relationship toward co-development and local production.
