Egypt's El-Sisi meets Trump envoy Jared Kushner

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Jared Kushner, son-in-law and envoy of US President Donald Trump, in El Alamein on Sunday.

Axar.az reports, citing the Egyptian presidency, that the meeting was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty and General Intelligence Service chief Hassan Rashad.

Kushner conveyed Trump’s greetings to El-Sisi, who asked him to relay his own greetings to the US president. El-Sisi described Egypt-US relations as “pivotal and strategic” and expressed appreciation for bilateral cooperation and coordination.

The two sides discussed developments in the Middle East and the Palestinian issue, with El-Sisi stressing the need for all parties to fulfill their commitments under the agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip reached at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in October 2025.

Kushner praised Egypt’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and said Egypt was a key partner for the United States in the Middle East.
