There are currently no talks between the IRGC and US officials.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi made the remarks.

“There are no talks underway between IRGC officials and the Americans. Trump's lie is merely a fantasy stemming from the delusions and nightmares caused by his defeat and desperation in the war,” Mohebbi said.

He said diplomatic matters were handled by other institutions of the Islamic Republic, adding that, based on information available to the IRGC and statements by Iranian Foreign Ministry officials, no talks with the US were currently taking place at the diplomatic level either.

Mohebbi also said Trump was attempting to temporarily influence global oil and energy prices through his statements. He added that, in his view, the US should accept what he described as its defeat and meet conditions set by Iran.
