Trump: Iran will not make deal he considers necessary

Trump says Iran wants to reach a deal with Washington but will not agree to the terms he considers necessary.

Axar.az reports, citing CBS News, that US President Donald Trump made the remarks Monday.

“They want to make a deal, but they’re not going to make the kind of deal that I feel is necessary,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

“Look, we’re in there for one reason: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” he added.

Trump did not provide further details on the state of negotiations. His comments came as a 60-day negotiating period established under a June memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran expired without a comprehensive agreement.
