UAE air defense detects missile threat targeting country

The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Defense said its air defenses detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the country.

Axar.az reports, citing the Ministry's X account, that the first missile fell outside the UAE’s territorial waters, while the second fell within the country’s territorial waters.

"The Ministry of Defense affirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats and to firmly confront anything aimed at undermining the country’s security, ensuring the protection of its sovereignty, security and stability, as well as its national interests and resources," the statement read.

It urged the public to obtain news from official UAE sources and avoid rumors and misinformation.
