Fidan holds phone call with Egyptian, Saudi counterparts

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held separate phone calls with his Egyptian and Saudi counterparts on Thursday to discuss recent regional developments.

Axar.az reports, citing the Turkish minister's X account, that they discussed the problems that have emerged in implementing the Gaza peace plan and the steps we can take.

The talks also covered developments in Syria, with Fidan saying they reaffirmed their strong support for efforts to establish peace and stability in the country.

The ministers also discussed the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the latest stage of negotiations between the parties to the dispute.

“As three brotherly countries that want peace and prosperity in our region, we will continue to strengthen our cooperation and coordination in all areas,” Fidan said.
