Pashinyan plans to recall Armenia’s ambassador to Russia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is dissatisfied with the work of Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan and intends to recall him.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenian media, that the prime minister’s decision is final and was made amid strained Armenian-Russian relations.

“At the same time, it is unclear who will replace him in the post, as there is currently no specific candidate,” the media reported.

The authorities have not provided any official comment on the matter.

It should be noted that Gurgen Arsenyan was appointed Armenia’s ambassador to Russia in August 2024.
