Sochi airport suspends flights for second time in 24 hours

Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been reintroduced at Sochi Airport, Russia.

Axar.az reports, citing Interfax, that the restrictions mark the second such disruption to the airport’s operations in the past 24 hours.

The previous restrictions, introduced to ensure flight safety, took effect on Saturday morning and lasted for about an hour.

Authorities are monitoring the situation and providing passengers and those meeting arriving travelers with updates on changes to flight schedules.
