Trump’s Iran attack increased desire for nuclear weapons

US President Donald Trump’s attack on Iran had increased people’s desire around the world to acquire nuclear weapons.

Axar.az reports that Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the remarks.

“Trump’s foolishness in attacking Iran increased people’s desire for nuclear weapons, especially when they saw that membership in the International Atomic Energy Agency and the NPT had no effect in preventing a US attack,” he said.

“Instead of nuclear security, Trump has created nuclear insecurity.”

Rezaei said Iran had accepted and complied with all international safeguards, joined the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and allowed inspections.

“Iran is the only country that is ahead of all other countries in complying with nuclear energy regulations,” he said.
