Zhytomyr-Odesa train attacked by Shahed drone

A Russian jet-powered Shahed drone struck the locomotive of passenger train No. 147 traveling from Zhytomyr to Odesa in Ukraine’s Odesa region.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian Railways CEO Oleksandr Pertsovskyi's Telegram account, that Ukrainian Railways’ monitoring team had issued an evacuation warning in advance, allowing the train to stop on the railway line and all passengers and train crew to evacuate.

“There are 593 passengers on board, including 15 children,” Pertsovskyi said.

He added that Ukraine’s State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration were involved in the response, with arrangements being made to transport passengers to Odesa.
