45% of Iran’s dam reservoirs remain empty

About 45% of Iran’s dam reservoirs remain empty, according to the latest data from the country’s Water Resources Management Company.

Axar.az reports, citing ISNA, that the total volume of water entering the country’s reservoirs since the beginning of the current water year in October has reached 46.25 billion cubic meters, up 69% from 27.38 billion cubic meters recorded during the same period last year.

Six major dams, Lar, Dousti, Torogh, 15 Khordad, Barzo and Saveh remain less than 10% full.
