Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked countries supporting Ukraine on the 35th anniversary of the restoration of the country’s independence.

The Ukrainian president expressed his gratitude to Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, the Council of Europe, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, the European Union, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Turkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.

Thank you for keeping Ukraine in the focus of global attention. Every gesture of support matters. We appreciate that on the 35th anniversary of the restoration of our country’s independence, you were thinking of Ukraine and Ukrainians,” Zelensky wrote.

Ukraine marked the 35th anniversary of the restoration of its independence on August 24. To mark the occasion, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku was illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
