11 killed in Pakistan security operations

Security forces killed 11 terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Axar.az informs, citing Dawn, that according to the Radio Pakistan state broadcaster, the terrorists belonged to Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan.

The state uses the term Fitna al Khawarij for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and refers to designated Balochistan-based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.

“In Bannu, security forces conducted an IBO against Fitna al Khawarij, killing two terrorists and recovering weapons and ammunition,” Radio Pakistan reported.

In the Ladha area of South Waziristan, five Khawarij terrorists were killed during an operation, it added.

Meanwhile, four terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were killed in the Sasool area of Khuzdar district, it said.

“Security forces effectively targeted Fitna al Hindustan terrorists with the assistance of [a] quadcopter,” the report said.
