A Russian jet-powered drone struck an Epicentr shopping center in Kharkiv’s Osnovianskyi district on Thursday, killing one person and injuring five others.

Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Post, that the strike caused partial structural damage and sparked a fire covering more than 300 square meters.

A 40-year-old man was killed, although authorities said his identity was still being verified.

Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov said a 25-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were injured, while two women aged 26 and 58 and a 38-year-old man suffered acute stress reactions. All victims received medical assistance.

Authorities also reported two drone strikes in the district while rescuers were working at the scene.
