Two killed, 16 injured in IETT bus crash in Istanbul

An IETT bus crashed into the garden wall of a residential complex in Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu district on Friday, killing two people and injuring 16 others.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the bus was traveling along Kennedy Avenue toward Bakıikoy when the driver lost control in the Kazlicesme area and crashed into the wall.

Medical, police and firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene following reports of the accident. Rescue crews provided assistance to the injured, while police secured the area.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
