Iran can take relations with Azerbaijan to new level

Conditions have been created to take Iran’s relations with Azerbaijan to a new level and sign important agreements.

Axar.az reports that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in an interview with IRIB.

“Conditions have now been created to take our relations to a new level and sign important agreements with Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Egypt and Turkmenistan,” Pezeshkian said.

He said Iran prioritizes dialogue and good-neighborly relations in the region, arguing that the use of force produces no results.

“We prioritize a policy of dialogue and good-neighborly relations in the region,” he said.

Pezeshkian also addressed tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, saying Iran was ready to reopen the waterway to shipping if the United States fulfills commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum.
