25 killed in Zimbabwe road crash

Twenty-five people have been killed in a head-on collision between a commuter minibus and a haulage truck on Zimbabwe’s Harare–Chivhu Highway.

Axar.az reports, citing the Herald, that Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs Minister Itayi Ndudzo said 23 people died at the scene, while two others died in hospital from their injuries.

Two survivors, including the truck driver, are in critical condition and receiving medical treatment.

Police and the Civil Protection Unit are at the scene assisting with clearance operations.
