Kremlin sees no grounds for better Russia-EU ties

There are currently no visible grounds for improved relations between Russia and the European Union.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks Saturday.

“For now, I see no reason to hope for an improvement in our relations with Europe,” Peskov said, accusing European politicians of pursuing a confrontational policy toward Russia.

He said European countries were “fully mobilizing Europe's military potential and directing it against our country,” while also “directly participating in military operations against us.”

“We must, of course, remain open to building relations, and we are indeed maintaining our openness, but we must understand perfectly well who we are dealing with,” Peskov added.
